How to back up your TpT store

If your store disappeared tomorrow, could you rebuild it? A full backup has four parts.

Updated 2026-10-17

Sellers on r/TeachersPayTeachers describe stores taken down “literally overnight”, with appeals that take weeks. Exclusive sellers have the most to lose, since all their paid digital sales are on one platform.

1. Product files

TpT lets you download your own files one at a time from each product. Better: keep the originals (Canva, PowerPoint, Slides) plus a current PDF in one folder per product, and a second copy in Google Drive or Dropbox.

2. Listings

Titles, descriptions, prices, grades, tags and images are hours of work, and TpT can't export them. Copy them into a spreadsheet by hand, or let LessonCrate back up the whole store in one scan, with import files for Shopify, Etsy and Payhip included.

3. Sales history

Dashboard → Sales Reports: download the sales details CSV for each year. Also download Product Statistics. They show which products to rebuild first.

4. Followers and reviews

TpT doesn't share follower emails, so invite them to your own email list with a freebie (allowed on both tiers). Screenshot your favorite reviews for your own site.

How often

Before the December 31, 2026 deadline, then every few months or after a batch of new products.
