How to move your TpT store to Etsy

Before you start

• Check your tier. Exclusive sellers can't sell paid digital resources on Etsy. See the Exclusive rules.
• Know the fees. $0.20 per listing, 6.5% per sale, plus 3% + $0.25 processing in the US. On $5 you keep about $4.08, against $2.45 on TpT Basic (full comparison).
• Mind the limits. Titles up to 140 characters, 13 tags of up to 20 characters, and digital files attached to each listing.

1. Get your listings into a sheet

TpT can't export them. Copy each listing by hand, or get the LessonCrate Etsy sheet: titles trimmed to 140 characters, your subjects and tags cut to Etsy's 13 × 20 limit, descriptions as plain text, up to 10 image links per listing.

2. Pick a bulk-upload tool

Etsy itself only edits listings in bulk; it can't create them. Tools like Shop Uploader and Vela connect to your shop and create listings from a spreadsheet. The LessonCrate sheet follows Shop Uploader's digital-listing template, so it uploads as-is. Check each tool's current plans: they're priced by number of listings.

3. Upload as drafts, then attach files

1. Upload the sheet in your bulk tool and create the listings as drafts.
2. In Etsy, open each draft, attach the PDF under Digital files, and check the category.
3. Publish in batches. Your first 20 best sellers first: TpT's Product Statistics shows which ones they are.

4. Write for Etsy search

Etsy shoppers search differently from TpT buyers. Put grade and subject early in the title ("2nd Grade Reading Comprehension Passages, Fall"), and use all 13 tags.
