How to move your TpT store to Payhip
Payhip is the most common second home for TpT sellers going Basic. It has no import, so preparation is everything.
Pick a plan
| Plan | Monthly | Fee per sale | Worth it when |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 | 5% | Starting out |
| Plus | $29 | 2% | Over ~$970/month on Payhip |
| Pro | $99 | 0% | Over ~$3,500/month on Payhip |
Card or PayPal fees apply on every plan. All plans have the same features.
1. Prepare one sheet
For each listing you need a title, price, description, cover image and the PDF. TpT can't export the first four. Copy them into a spreadsheet, or get the LessonCrate Payhip sheet, which has them in the order Payhip's form asks.
2. Start with your best sellers
TpT Dashboard → Product Statistics shows your top earners. Move those 20 first; they're most of your income.
3. Create products
- Payhip → Add product → Digital product.
- Paste title, price and description from the sheet. Upload the cover and the PDF.
- For similar items, use Duplicate on a finished product and edit it.
4. Send buyers there
Payhip has no marketplace search. Sales come from your email list, Pinterest, Instagram and your blog. As a Basic seller, keep your TpT listings for discovery.
Questions
Can I import products into Payhip from a CSV?
No. Payhip creates products one at a time. Its bulk editor only changes prices. A prepared sheet with each listing's title, price, description and cover makes it copy and paste.
Which Payhip plan should a TpT seller use?
Free (5% fee) until you sell about $970 a month on Payhip, then Plus ($29/month, 2%). Pro ($99/month, 0%) only pays off above about $3,500 a month.
Can I sell on Payhip and TpT at the same time?
Only as a TpT Basic seller. Exclusive sellers can't sell paid digital teaching resources on Payhip.
